What is the difference between MD3060 and MD3066

I have a 2000 Monaco Dynasty with 350 ISC with the MD3066. Does anyone know the difference between the MD 3060 and the MD3066.

From what I can remember when I was looking at a 2000 Diesel Pusher one was had a rating of about 900 ft lbs of torque and the other had a rating of 1200 ft lbs of torque.

I was told that one was for the ISC 330 and the other for the ISC 350.

When we purchased our 2001 Alpine with a ISC 350, it had the MH 3000 Allison.

Sometime in the past , Allison dropped the 3060 , and probably the 3066 ( this post is the first I've heard of the series 3066 ) now the ratings info only lists a 3000.

The Allison MD3066 Transmission
Quote:
In September of 1991, Allison Transmission Division launched the World Transmission product line with the release of the MD3060 automatic transmission into production. In January of 1996, Allison introduced the MD3066 transmission, the next response to market trends in automatic transmissions for use in trucks. The MD3066 transmission model has seen continuous improvement since 1996, including an increase in application ratings in January of 1998, anticipating the needs of the target marketplace. This paper discusses the features, design and development of the MD3066 transmission.

Our 2000 DSDP with CAT 3126 had an Allison 3060 MH, which was in interim unit during the transition from to MD 3060 to the 3000 MH. The 3060 MH carried the higher rating of the 3000 MH and longer warranty. This was verified with Allison using the serial number on out transmission.
The ratings still show the 4000 MH.

This what I love about iRV2 forums. It just seems to have unlimited resources from all the members.

Thanks again,
