Thumbs down

Well 10 days after the truck was "waiting for transport" still no truck. I contacted Chevy via their website chat yesterday and they said the truck is on the way to New Boston, MI. I questioned that as my dealer is in Virginia. They sent me to the dealer. The dealer said they expected it today but still no news.

I had the exact same issue with mine. It turns out that the truck was sitting at the Union Pacific Rail Yard in Milpitas CA and the transport trucks that pick them up and take them to the dealers were running behind. My Dealer, Steve's Chevrolet in Oakdale CA, (about 80 miles away from the rail yard) was able to get permission from GM to send a driver to the rail yard and pick the truck up. That process of obtaining permission took 2 days. Once they received the go-ahead from GM they picked the truck up, did the PDI and we then were able to pick it up. The dealer really went the extra mile for me and expedited the delivery.

I bought my ‘20 3500 AT4 last August and it showed it was “in transit”. It finally showed up at the dealership at the end of October after it was “lost” for several weeks as well. It sat in a shopping yard in Baltimore for 2 months and then showed up damaged. Kind of too the joy out of buying a new truck when it had chipped paint on both front door edges but after waiting that long for it to get here I took it anyway and will have it repaired at my hometown body shop. Glad I bought it when I did as it was a bit easier to get then and could actually haggle prove with the dealership. Ended up getting it for $12,500 under sticker.
