I pulled the trigger today on a 2021 Silverado 3500 High Country Duramax Crew cab DRW 4WD LB to replace my 2500. I ordered it and now the waiting begins. Anybody have an idea how long it takes in this Covid-19 era for delivering such a beast?

I ordered a 2020 at the end of June. Ended up getting a 2021 delivered the end of October. GM was so behind they couldn’t get a 2020 built so I got the 2021 for the same price. So for me about 4 months.
On the bright side, you’ll have it to use next summer. On my 2018, there was a 500 mile break-in period before you could tow. I doubt if that’s changed.

This situation reminds me of an old tomato ketchup commercial with a song by Carly Simon. The other piece of this is the 5th wheel that will “start” being constructed after the first of the year. Summer 2021 here we come!
The dealership contacted me today to tell me the truck is scheduled to be built the week of 1/25. It sure will come in handy to pick up the new RV that is due around the same time. Wahoooo!
