Duramax Fuel Filter replacement

Adding the fuel filter access door makes the project so much easier. I can swap the filter in about 10 minutes.

On the 2017 models, the Duramax fuel filter is now located in front of the fuel tank under the drivers side pickup box. You will need A 22MM socket.

Are you sure you donít mean 36 mm? A 1-7/16Ē socket also works.

2017+ is the L5P Duramax. I haven't seen under the hood of them yet.

The L5P fuel filter is not under the hood, it's along side the frame under the box, drivers side.

Change out in 5 minutes turn the key on and let the pump prime the filter till the pump stop.

I like that video but I like the new fuel filter location on the 2017 and newer models even more.
No manual priming required. It is truly a breeze
