EFI Live and Duramax

Is anyone out there running their Duramax with a "EFI Live" programable tuner?

You might want to call Jon at Brazel's for some technical feedback just in case ... I know they tune and work on those types of engines.

My personal pulling truck is programmed with EFILive. I still have the laptop software and the cable, I never upgraded to the V2. There are a lot of great tunes out there and a lot of great user forums with people willing to help out.

Let me know if you have any questions about it.

I looked into EFI a few years ago. Since you have complete control of engine functions it seems very easy to destroy your engine if you don't know exactly what you are doing. I decided my stock engine suits me fine.

It is very easy to goof something up if you are new or do not know what parameters you are changing.

Luckily there are many forums out on the net with good information dedicated to EFILive and many more tunes that have been uploaded by forum members. It takes a lot of reading and playing around to get use to the software.

EFILive is not for everyone and many refer a simple plug in programmer. All depends on what you are looking for and what you want to do.
