Tuner on LML experience?

Please no tuner haters!
What tuner do you run, what do you think, and how long have you had it?

Looking at doing the tuner to my 2012 but only for the "DEF " delete codes to the computer.
Local diesal shop near me does the delete but I don't know what tuner . It's $1900 to let them do it which includes the tuner & everything that needs to be done. Cheaper that the new def tank sensor & egr valve that I have had replaced under warranty should they go out when my emission warranty ends.

Just finished install of Banks Power Pack on my 2002 LB7. 4" exhaust, exhaust brake, Econominder w/ IQ display, Ram air intake, and Big Head wastegate actuator. Truck only has 154k and is in great shape. Seemed to be a no brained as opposed to spending on a newer truck.Click image for larger version

Duramax Tuning

2011 LML 3500

Did a PPEI tuner with engine and transmission tune about 10,000 miles ago. Love it, no problems. Only problem I ever had the truck was with the emissions equipment failing. Pulling 12K (empty) 5th wheel most of the time with it.

PPEI have some of the better tunes available now. They build power along a longer and smoother curve than most. I would seriously consider a cp3 conversion with any HP increase.

I really only wanted to get rid of emissions equipment so only added 30 horse on the tune. Stock is 397 so power isn't an issue. If I was adding more, would definately think about a pump conversion.

Look at duramaxtuner.com they have you tube videos on your engine. I had Nick tune my last duramax and it was great. I would at the least call and talk to them, I know they make good tunes with emissions system intact. Also Kennedy diesel is really good with emissions intact tunes, but both will recommend a lift pump.
