2002 super duty 7.3 power stroke

Truck has 290000 plus miles. I was pulling a 25’ lite fifth wheel now have upgraded to a 32’ 5th wheel. For my peace of mind anyone any problems with pulling this 32’ ?

We don't know what 32' your pulling?

My 2000 f350 just turned 200,000 miles and I pull the 5ver in my signature, no problems pulling or more importantly stopping. I've had my truck 17 years, it's a great truck. I thought I was going to replace it last year with a 2015ish Chevy dually. But life happened so that's been delayed for another year or 2. I'm confident my truck would easily go another 100,000 I also replaced my transmission, I spent a couple thousand more and had a much heavier duty transmission built. I just replaced my glow plugs. That's the only major work done to the engine. I did have a 77 gallon auxiliary fuel tank for a few years. But I recently removed and sold it. It was to much weight When it was full and I had the 5ver hooked up. Don't worry about what other people think, you know if it's safe or not.

Sorry about the lack of info but seen so times someone ask questions on other places only to be made fun of. I went from a 25’ jayco sl to a 32’ Everest

Similar here.
My 2001 7.3 Power Stroke easily handled our 32' 5r. Its tranny, 4R100, couldn't. I also had an aftermarket rebuild tranny put in.

I would think if your truck is well-maintained, then just going to be a little slower. 7.3 turbo is a workhorse.
Yeah, would consider the trans the weak point.

What mods if any have you done?

List of what I would do:

BD exhaust brake, will help on downhills.

BTS trans. Best you can get.

TW tunes
Guages
Exhaust and intake,Ford AIS
33 row trans cooler

Injectors if original, Full Force Diesel

GTP38r turbo

List goes on but can really wake up your motors HP-Tq and MPG's

2002 7.3

i pulled a 36' 12000 trailer with my f350 7.3 for 14 years. sold the truck in 2016. never an issue due to towing. only problem i had was with an o ring leaking on the oil driven fuel pump (thought i had a leaking seal on the rear of engine but someone wiser than me said the o ring on the fuel pump was most likely the problem). #7 injector went out the year before i sold it. no other issues with the truck. only reason i replaced it (w/2016 f350) the towing capacity was too close to the dry weight of the new trailer.
i changed engine oil at 5k when not towing and 3k when towing. transmission oil was flushed every 36k. filter was changed abt every 3rd flush. never an issue with the transmission.
truck had 197k on it when i sold it. truck was never chipped or reprogrammed.

It's not so much the length of the trailer but the weight of it. I pull a 2013 Arctic Fox 27-5L fifth wheel that is 28 feet in length but it weighs in at 11500 lbs. ready to camp. Yes Arctic Foxes are heavy, it pulls just fine but I know it's back there especially when starting out. I am maxed out both in gvwr and gvcwr. I have a few mods and use a Hydra Chip set at 40hp tow when towing plus gauges. Almost forgot, the truck is a 2002 F350 CC, LB, 4X4 Lariat 6 speed. I love this truck and will probably keep it till the wheels fall off.
