Archoil

Anyone have personal experience with these products? Are they better than Power Service Diesel Kleen?

Tried it when it first came out, the only change I saw was an increase of potassium in Blackstone reports. This was flagged as coolant in the oil until someone sampled Archoil and found the culprit.

I run it in my 6.0 Ford. I only use it for injector stiction. I had a minor issue with cold motor start up. It seams to help with this.

Moco Chief

Do you use it in your oil, fuel or both? I too have a 6.0l diesel and have been using Power Service Diesel Kleen for years but am experiencing mild stiction...
I have been intrigued by all the testimonials I have seen on You Tube.

The only way I found to cure my stiction issues was to replace all the injectors with Ford remans and I tried all the additives. Night and day difference in running quality along with about 1 mpg improvement. I will run Motorcraft PM-22 in fuel when I am traveling just because I don't know the fuel I am buying.

a lot of the 6.0 guys were using both the archoil for oil and fuel to combat the cold issue with older engines stiction event.

Update:
I have been using the Archoil fuel additive for about 5 months and I noticed faster starting and fuel economy towing has gone from 11.3mpg to 12.1mpg. May not be the greatest results but works for me.
Time will tell.
Cheers

I, also have been using archoil over the past couple years. Recently i had a transmission replaced at a guy place in Ohio that is a big 7.3 fan and has a lot of parts for them.. He was doing the sway of the old, but in good shape, 4R100 with a new sam wyse stage 1 unit. He did take the truck out for a test drive and comment how quickly it started up and how smooth it sounded and ran on his test drive.

also we are currently pulling a 30 ft airstream, 8200 lbs, from nc up through NH and now out to washington state..

my thus far overall mileage, hand calc numbers, on my last fillup was 16.7 MPG.. now this is a combo of pulling and non pulling numbers.. I try not take the rv in such place as the route from Red Lodge montana, aka Bear tooth hwy an the Chief Joseph, (dead indian) highway routes.. we did that non pulling..

I would guess the pulling amount is 40% and 60% non pulling miles..

I did do some just pulling number and they average 12.5 to 13.6 depending on wind and we have gotten a LOT of tail or wind from teh rear quarter more than a true head or front qtr wind out west across SD, WY and WA.

I know it runs smooth, pull good,, and starts quick. Happy camper..

(ps yes that is a solar panel on bed shell,, 335 watt 24 v to help with 460 watts on AS.. ))

The oil additive makes a world of difference in the 6.0 - makes it a much quieter and smoother sounding engine. Night and day difference.
I have not used it in my newer 6.7 diesel - it's pretty quiet as is.

I have not used Archoil, but I have used Hot Shots Secret. They have a "stiction eliminator" product, not sure which Archoil product it is compatible with. It does the same things Archoil does. I have used their Diesel Extreme product in multiple diesels and am impressed with it, and ran it in my 7.3 when I got it, and am running their Everyday Diesel Treatment at fill ups. I plan to run the Stiction Eliminator at my first oil change on it.
