DEF

What year did the F250 / F350 Diesels start requiring DEF? I understand how is supposed to work, but I have also talked to folks who had problems with it. Feedback on when it was installed and how well it works, please.

2011 model year. There were some initial concerns with freezing (heat system did not function as designed) but I believe that is all but fixed, may have been a recall on the early Job 1's.

Brian

EDIT: Link to a post on a Ford forum talking to DEF. FYI.
