Powerstroke electrical guys, upfitter switches

Ok, I found then up-fitter black box, and the associated 6 wires to the over head switches.

what I'd like to know is, can I cut off the power plug to my Dash cam and wire it to the up-fitter switch? is the wire polarized? so I can tell which wires are positive and which is negative

its a R2-4K dash cam.

and how do you get through the firewall?

Not sure what year you have, my 2015 has the up-fitter switches. Each switch has an inside wire and one under the hood. I have an 80 gallon fuel tank in the bed wired to one on the switches, truck has to be on and the switch on to run the pump. You can check polarity on the wires with a volt ohm meter, if back wards my pump would not pump. I'm sure the cameras going to be the same, I did accessory installs for SOB vehicles and they required proper polarity, today's LEDs are the same, many are polarity sensitive.

I have a mini-usb power cable for my tpms that just has two wires - black and red- on the other end. I guess there would be more if it served more functions, but if its just power thats all you need.
