Glidecoat
This past week I detailed the outside of our coach. After washing I applied a coat of Glidecoat RV Shine and Shield. While time will tell how well this product holds up and protects the paint my initial impressions are very favorable.
The product goes on as advertised. Just spray a very light coat and buff dry with a microfiber towel. I found that using one towel to even the application to ensure good coverage followed by using two towels to buff dry worked best. The shine is pretty impressive to be honest.
The product is very hydrophobic as water streamed from around the windows as soon as I sprayed it on. It rained quite hard during the night and next morning most all of the water had beaded and drained off the surface with no spots.
It took two bottles to do the job. And while I was pretty tired after doing this I can’t imagine using any sort of paste or liquid wax that involves a more difficult application followed by extensive buffing to remove the residue.
The product is advertised to last 8 months so we’ll see how it holds up over the coarse of two trips this fall and the winter months.
