Lithium Iron battery replacement

Hi everyone. We do a lot of boon docking in our Valencia and are now looking at replacing our 3 Group D batteries with Lithium Iron 250ah ones. We added two additional batteries to what came with the MH, but find that it's a challenge keeping the charge up when we are parked for a few days without shore power.

My question is if anyone has done this, or is familiar with the DC charging system in these MH's. My understanding is that the chassis batteries are isolated from the house batteries normally through the solenoid. However, when the ignition is on the alternator provides power to both the chassis battery and the house battery. Lithium Iron batteries do not like to be overcharged, and without any monitoring it would be possible to overcharge.

Does the battery monitor system also control this solenoid and is setup to open this solenoid when it sees a full charge?

Hi: You could purchase batteries with built in bluetooth monitoring systems. Some have built in protection against overcharging. You must manage your batteries status. Learn how to conserve energy. Are you running any 110 volt appliances with an inverter? Are you running a 12 volt refrigerator? These appliances eat up lots of battery capacity. BMS generally do not control the battery separator. Running your motor to charge batteries will use a lot of fuel. Do you have a generator?
