S2RV Chassis Problem

A bunch of us with S2RV based RVs have found a couple clamps are prone to breaking. When the clamps break, it puts stress on a rigid air line on the engine, and at least one owner had it crack. When it cracks, your compressors will no longer work and you can't fill your air tanks.

Freightliner has been provided the details on the issue and hopefully is going to issue a recall. In the meantime, you can replace the cheap clamps with $2 clamps from Ace Hardware that are better. You want the 61539 part number. My Valencia had 1 clamp broken.

wife pointed this issue out to me thru the Renegade FB customer page.... Was surprised to find we had exact same clamp issue with only a few thousand miles on our 2019 Valencia. I informed the dealer and was hoping to hear that there was some sort of recall. But they had not been informed of any issues via Freightliner. Purchased clamps via Local HW (thicker) and so far so good.

I will inform that there appears to be another Hose Clamp issue coming loose on several Valencia's. ...so I would recommend looking at the FB post. So far not to impressed.
