Safe-t-plus available for S2RV

I was the first one to get a Safe-t-plus steering stabilizer installed on an S2RV chassis. I have a Valencia and took it there in June to get it installed when they noticed the bracket for the M2 wouldn't work on the S2RV. They took some measurements and engineered/manufactured brackets that will work. Got it installed yesterday.

I was very happy with how my Valencia tracked/drove, but I have to say it does track a little bit better with the stabilizer. The big reason I did it was to help in the case of a steer tire blowout.

Company was great to deal with and the tech worked on adjusting it until I was satisfied. Very happy with it all around.

And of course driving back home I came across an Entegra that had a front tire blowout. I could see where he got pulled across a couple lanes, but thankfully was able to gain control and got it over the shoulder. I've talked to a couple people who have had front tire blowouts with the steering stabilizers and they said it didn't even pull them out of their lane.

I also installed one on my 2019 Verona. Still need to test drive and set "center". Install was simple if you have the correct tools, which I did.

I had it installed at factory and they adjusted it. One thing they did that really worked well was had me drive down the center left turn lane. Was very easy to tell if it was pulling left or right. Once we had it adjusted well there, we took it out on the highway. We stopped 4 times for adjustments. Right, left, small right, tiny left, and it was perfect. They really had a great attitude of "We're not happy until you are 100% satisfied."

I am considering going to the factory for this.

Would you mind telling us how much it cost?

For my S2RV it was just over $600. On Amazon the stabilizers are in the high 400's and then you have to buy the mounting kit which is in the 60's. So it might be a little cheaper buying it and installing yourself.

I would rather let the experts do it.

Any project that I do looks like I did it.
Thanks

They really are a top-notch organization. I did my first one on my class A myself. Wasn't too hard but I never got it adjusted perfectly. I had them do this one. They got it perfectly centered and offer great customer service. You can camp out behind their building the night before if you need to.

I am convinced to have a stabilizer installed but doing some research I find that both Blue Ox and Roadmaster offer products that perform the same function but all (3) are engineered differently.

Has anyone considered the differences between the products - besides the price?

Yep - Blue ox definitely a step up with its Tru Center. I think it would be great for long distance with a constant wind. For me, just not worth the 3X cost. I have yet to be "fatigued" driving my Renegade.

Not sure how the Roadmaster is different than Safe-t-plus. Seems like pretty similar install/design.

I've read good things about all 3. Don't think you can go wrong. For me Safe-t-plus was good company that I had dealt with before, and they were the only option for S2RV chassis. Plus their factory install was pretty close/convenient.

Might want to call Blue Ox. There were reports earlier this year they were discontinuing the tru center.

I have an appointment next week at the factory. They have asked me the diameter of the M2 Suspension U Bolts. From your experience sounds like they already know but maybe the lady on the phone has to ask.

Does anyone know?

I’d call and talk to Kathy Doran. For the m2 they have 8000 and 10,000pound axle choice. She has specs for Renegade as they are adding to the website.
