My first install was today. 100 degree heat in FL Panhandle...but headed north for cooler weather.

It was quite a wrestling match to get it on the second door. I hope this thing stretches a little bit. Hood was up and windshield wipers were out of the way.

My question is: do you open both doors and put on the pockets, then shut them... or do one door, shut it, and then pull the other side until it stretches enough to fit on the corner of the door?

How I do mine is to roughly get it cover in position with Velcro straps holding it up around mirrors. Then from inside with windows down and one door open just enough I hook one corner over door from inside and shut the door. Then go to other side and repeat but I do give it a very hard tug on the second side before I try to slip it on the door. I find if I lay my hand flat against the outside of the door from the inside I can push pocket over door corner with my fingers, then shut the door, but door can only be open just enough for cover to slip over door, maybe open an inch or so. I do think it is stretching out the more I use it, either that or I am loosing the fear of tearing it, I tug it hard. Again I do mine from inside once I have it somewhat in place or I feel like i'm in the Flying Wallendas show. A step ladder might make it easier to do from outside but I don't carry one. Have to say i love it once it's on.
