Kodiak captains chairs?

The Four Winds super C we bought is in need of help with the driver and passenger captains chairs. Currently it has pretty sad covers installed over the 'ultra leather' or whatever it is called that is peeling off badly. At minimum they need to be re-covered but the wife would like something a bit more supportive so I've been looking around online for possible replacement units. My question is; am I supposed to be looking for specific class C chairs or does this unit use class A style chairs with the 7"x7" / 8"x11" mounting base? I contacted the nice folks at shop4seats.com but they were kind of stumped regarding what it would need. I thought maybe someone here might know?

Thanks in advance!!

(apologies for the poor picture but it's all that I have right now, until we pick the motorhome up this weekend )

I am going to weigh in on this..

I am guessing that if you actually have "semi" chairs in your rig, a standard new base has mounting holes for all the possible attachment options. The only exception I know of is the freightliner fl/m2 series which has a stepped floor.

I have basically a broken spine in 2 places. I am in chronic pain. I really don't like the seats in our cars and my pick up. However, I bought a set of these for my Freightliner..

Commodore Truck Seat | National Seating

Little pricey but absolute heaven. I have driven up to 13 hours ( with breaks) w/o any back pain. The massage is absolutely marvelous and it also has 5 adjustments ( I think). Worth every nickle..

Here are the controls..

i was able to talk to someone at Thor today about the seats. the gentleman said they are standard class c sped'd seats. he said that best he could recall they were made by flexsteel, just not all had their badges on the armrests.

You may want to do a search on Diesel Place - Medium Duty Trucks. Several members have replaced their seat with after market seats.

Not a problem. National is one of the choices. Also Superior has some good choices.
Dicks Auto Parts http://dicksautoparts.com/ has take offs from Vans and other trucks.

I'm just wondering if you would even have the clearance inside the cab to install air ride seats, after all a 450 cab is nothing more than an standard cab on any pickup of the make of your rig ?

GM offered a air ride seat for the C45-5500 chassis.
Here is one being offered on DP.

Cool..you learn something every day...but they must be a tight fit..

I have a couple of brand new (extra) bases so I am familiar with the size...the GM units must be tiny ..
