Bendy bus

Has anyone ever heard of a bendy bus being converted into a motorhome. If you're not sure you know what I'm talking about one of the long buses bend in the middle they use them for city transit buses. I think it would make an awesome motorhome unless there is a law against it. I don't see how there could be. I would love to see a few photographs of one.

I doubt there's law against it ... but likely don't need one. A little research on finding parks that could accommodate such a coach - would likely put an end to that line of thinking pretty quick. Finding spots for coaches over 40' can be a challenge in many areas .... move it out to 60+ feet and you'll likely cut out 90+ % of the parks out there.

That would truly be an interesting project, but from my experience riding in those things in Atlanta I would not want to have one. The ones I rode in leaked profusely and crawled through the city like a slow moving centipede.
And as Norman said, where you park would be very limited.

There was a previous discussion on the forum about the very topic of articulating buses.

There were some for sale. I seem to recall one in Red Deer, Alberta listed on a website.

I think the main issue would be the bellows that connect the two units.

It would be a most interesting project and would make a very large floor plan.

Post if you get one to convert. Would be great to follow the progress.

Only down side I wonder is if it would exceed the 45' limit for MH in some states. Articulating should be exempt I would think.

Two years there was one on ebay, 60ft Prevost with 12 slideouts, two 20 K generators in Alabama. It had been converted into a stripper bar with brass poles! Buy it now price was $80,000
