Just getting started

I am new to bus conversions and this forum. I am disabled which makes flying difficult. My family and I decided that a bus conversion might be the answer for future vacations. We purchased a 1987 MCI 102-aw3 last July and began the conversion. The 'w' in aw3 stands for a factory installed wheelchair lift. We have the interior stripped, windows removed, new sides installed, insulation in and are starting electrical. Will keep you updated.

Try to post some pictures for us, it's always fun to see the before and after shots.

Good choice for a conversion, I got a 91 102aw3 last sept and converted to a 2 bedroom coach. We removed the wheelchair lift and gave it to a friend who is in a chair and has a truck conversion without a lift.
The big side door is now in our side hall and makes getting the conversion stuff in very easy. We have even loaded a 10 ft kayak in the hall for camping trip. Bed frames with drawers ,dinette, and of the grid fridge all easy to load through there.
I see you are in wash. we bought our bus in Federal Way. good luck and have fun .
