Smile Anybody have expierence with these guys?

I'm researching the HDT's and was wondering if anyone could pass on info regarding this outfit? Any specific problem areas would be helpful to know if any....

Not familiar with the folks you asked about. There is an outfit here in Tx that has a good reputation with HDT. 2L Custom Trucks in Poolville, Tx. I do not work for them nor do I have any other affiliation with them.

hnybare,

Thanks for the information. Jack Mayer has told me the same thing! I have since decided to get in contact with 2L when I'm ready to dive in to the HDT world.............

The "aces" of HDT renovation & rebuild... check Jack's project on the SKP forum for HDT.

Larry Herrin (also, in TX) does outstanding bed & DROM work -- he's SE of Dallas, opposite side from 2L's shop. IF you can locate Phil Carpenter (and view his rig, that's the way I'd go); not taking away from Wayland, his shop is more of a turn-key (spell that with $$$), and there are many satisfied customers here (and on SKP forum). Phil has nearby contacts for the HDT renovation/preparation work you'd want to do before adding the bed (ie, single-out, replace shocks, bags, airlines before covering them over with a bed).

Greg Shields (in OP) at RV Haulers in Canada does amazing work, did the reno. work for Jack; he's probably gonna start doing some smart beds (like the "big yellow truck"?)... which will make him more like a one-stop-shop.

HTH!
