You best check but don't believe a mdt be any better than a HDT in Florida. Insurance will be high due to not being able to register as a Motorhome. Some are reporting they are registering as a motor home and later putting a 5th wheel hitch on. Have not heard of any getting into trouble. It would be illegal though. jfyi.

Most. Mats do not ride good, have small engines and uncomfortable vocational cabs, not ideal . I had one on a 330 Peterbilt with cre cab and it was adequate but not great.

my Topkick an MDT is registered and insured in FL. $800 a year for insurance $200 for the tag. no issue at all. the tag is high because tag rate is based on GVW of truck.
