We are thinking about storing our rig off premises this winter and I have a question about leaving the rig attached to the TV.

I have air rear suspension and an air 5t hitch. Do I let the air out of everything and then use the front jacks of the 5th to raise the weight off the hitch ? Or should I separate the 2 ?

I would recommend separating the tow vehicle from your 5er. Level the RV using front jacks. Also if not in use and cold temps are expected, don't forget to winterize it(them).

I put the landing jacks down just to hold a bit of weight. I really dont see a reason the trailer has to be leveled. And I see no reason it would need to be unhooked from the truck. Even when we are moving and useing the trailer. Unless the site is very off level, or we need to go somewhere. I usually dont even unhook. I level the trailer while connected.
