2002 Vortec 8.1 exhaust manifold leak

I am missing a nut on the back manifold stud, which is quite short.
It is on the passenger side.

Coach runs very well and has no symptoms as of yet.

Question: Is there a health issue in the coach as it rides high over the engine block.

Can I use the motorhome or do I need immediate repair?

If by health issue, you are referring to carbon monoxide intrusion into the coach, this is not an issue to be concerned with. Yes it is safe to use the coach as is. Without seeing the short stud with the missing nut, your description sounds like a broken stud, and may have to be repaired at a future date. For now, not a worry, enjoy your ride.

We had to replace the passenger side manifold on our 82 454 Chev last year and we had several other leaks there. The noise was bad but we never could smell the fumes. Either a bolt fell off or they forgot to put one back on, but they repaired it N/C Kept it a couple days to make sure it was right up to par. I can't even hear the motor while idling. We finished the summer with it like that then took it in last month. I would highly recommend them if you want.
I have used them for exhaust repairs on the MH along with other things I wanted to upgrade too, I also have used them to do the exhaust on my 64 deville from single to dual all stainless. No rattles or leaks and both sound pretty tough.
Very happy with them.

Manifold gasket

Just repaired 2008 Fleetwood 8.1L burned through right side manifold gasket $800 - no fumes but constant sputter anytime you accelerate. More GM junk
maybe I shoulda bought the workhorse air booster? to run this mill cooler? Anyone?

If I had a doughnut for every cracked manifold, broken stud, blown out gasket on the Chevy V8s I would be the grand marshal of the Diabetes parade.
