Sorry I didn't see this sooner. I own a mobile rv repair business h service tons of workhorse/8.1 chassis.
Did fleet service on uhauls with same engine.
In general bulletproof mechanically if maintained well.
The jasper stuff is good but labor rate blows when it's warranty time. I charge $220hr so $65 is diddly.
In 30 years my family sold jasper never had 1 bad engine. 2 bad trannies.
I would have helped find a used runner but you sorted it out already.
Engine break in is critical! Seating rings, proper break in oil & modest load a big deal. The are known for burning oil so I'd be sure to tread lightly first 5000 miles.
I'm having a crap time tracking down the source of the dreaded p2135 p0120 codes rough run & stall. I hope none of you ever deal with it!
