Okay I got it covered and winterized. It was abou 2600 miles since new motor. I picked up from shop looked it over and ran down interstate fpr a hour returned to shop. They checked it out and I was on my way. 200 miles CEL on. Pulled over checked all fluids it was running fine. Hour later CEL off. DDrove about 2000 miles more filled up with 87 Exon. Drove about 1 hour light on again and still on when I parked at home. Running fine. Findings are 269$ waterpump that was installed with motor leaks from weep hole. Both tailpipes slobbering and pipes are sooty. . It ran fine all the way home except heater would blow cold air at idle, I assume due to low fluid level or a slug of air in the system.I added 34 of gallon when we got home and the overflow tank was empty. Never got past halfway on temp gage. I have no OB@ reader. I,m tired Later

Did you test the anti freeze for the protection level? Hopefully the installer mixed it properly for your temperatures.

Sorry I didn't see this sooner. I own a mobile rv repair business h service tons of workhorse/8.1 chassis.

Did fleet service on uhauls with same engine.

In general bulletproof mechanically if maintained well.

The jasper stuff is good but labor rate blows when it's warranty time. I charge $220hr so $65 is diddly.

In 30 years my family sold jasper never had 1 bad engine. 2 bad trannies.

I would have helped find a used runner but you sorted it out already.

Engine break in is critical! Seating rings, proper break in oil & modest load a big deal. The are known for burning oil so I'd be sure to tread lightly first 5000 miles.

I'm having a crap time tracking down the source of the dreaded p2135 p0120 codes rough run & stall. I hope none of you ever deal with it!

Message me if you need something.
