2003 Workhorse P32 Accelerator position sensor

Afternoon-

I am currently broke down at a Cracker Barrel trying to figure out where to get this stinking part... I am having an issue finding an accelerator position sensor for my 2003 p32 workhorse. Does anyone know the part number and where to get it? I have called multiple stores, and everyone says that they don’t carry that part. I usually use google to help find part numbers... but, I wasn’t able to find the number with google. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Your not going to like the price if this is the part you are needing.

What is going on with your P32 ??

It this what you need. Have you checked an AC Delco/GM, or Autozone?

Good Luck

Eeek- that price is steep.

I wonder if there is an aftermarket part for less...

I am getting the following codes:
P0120 - throttle/pedal position sensor
P0220 - throttle/pedal position sensor B circuit
P1125 - definition not available
P1516 - definition not available
P1125 - definition not available

I replaced the throttle body sensor yesterday . That wasn’t a terrible price ($250). But, I couldn’t find the pedal sensor so, I figured I would chance it and see if the throttle body sensor fixed the issue. Well, it evidently did not.

I continued on with my trip this morning. All was good for the first 2 hours. When I pulled off the interstate, the RV started sputtering and died on the off ramp. Luckily, I was able to start it up, but it went to “ reduced engine power” mode and the check engine light came on. I scanned for the codes. The codes listed above appeared...

I was able to replace the throttle body sensor. I ended up replacing the whole throttle body. The shop only had the whole assembly and I didn’t want to wait for the shipment to come in.

Now, I am looking for the pedal sensor. The pedal sensor has been “an experience “ trying to locate...

I wish this one would work, but the pins aren’t the same. I have 2 rows and this one only has one row... bummer

Follow the wiring from the throttle body connector down to where the wires meet up with the main wiring harness. Had one in the shop a couple weeks back and we found this after removing the plastic protective split loom that made it appear there was no issue Click image for larger version

Thanks for the thought. I finished looking at the wires, they seem to be okay. I didn’t seem damaged.

Dumb question... but, here we go.

As long as the pigtails match up, the pedal sensor should still work, right?

For instance,

Pigtails match up, but the body is different. In theory, this will still work, right?
