2004 W22 Brake rotors

Hi All,

I have been wrestling with replacing front brakes for a month or so.

I got the recall done and decided to tackle the rotors and wheel bearings myself.

Main issue has been finding the correct torques as these rotors have 6 3/4 inch bolts to the hub. I couldn't find the torques in any publication.

Anyway.
Best part is the supplier of the rotors that I found.

Brake performance.

Rotors are dimpled and slotted with lifetime warranty.
Steel from Canada and machined in the USA.
about $150 each

WHOLESALE DIVISION Brakeperformance 9424 Eton Avenue, Unit I Chatsworth, CA 91311 (818) 772-554 Direct (866) 756-5536 Toll Free www.brakeperformance.com

Also would like to thank Kevin Caudill for his Utube video and calling me back almost instantaneously when I texted him a question late one night.

Now onto the Bilstein shocks.

All the best

John

Torque 'em to 225 ft/lbs if you install them dry. Mine had Loc-tite red when I disassembled. I used a little heat to get them off. I reassembled with Loc-tite red. Because I used the Loc-tite it acted as a lubricant so the proper torque is 200 ft/lbs.

Torque

Was that with rotors that had six bolts that are three-quarter inch in diameter. With a 1 1/8 inch hex head.
If so, could you appointment to the reference? Because I definitely need up-to-date reference material. Thanks again
