2005 Southwind 32v Where are the Idiot lights (oil, temperature, water temperature an

Looking at buying the 2005 Southwind 32v but didn’t see any lights come up on the dash. Where do you get the Oil Pressure, water temperature etc when a problem comes up? The water gauge jumped to Hot while driving on freeway after stopping saw the hose to overflow came off really weird????? But no lights came on the dash. Wondering if this maybe a cracked head, or blown head gaskets??? Then when the hose was put back on and drove down the same freeway temperature gauge needle was at halfway mark. Need help don’t want to buy a junkyard. Thank you

Several threads here on what Workhorse did in ECM firmware to fool the user about engine temperature. Word is that the gauge won’t read hot until it’s too late (it’s slow to indicating hot).

Also many issues with the Actia (sp) display.

Beware of an engine that got hot, assuming it got hot.

There are different Actia clusters on the various Workhorse vehicles. On mine, temp and fuel tank level show with needles. Voltage shows in the LCD display at all times. If I'm remembering correctly, oil pressure is brought up via the mode button.

Imho. Run.. run.. warning lights should illuminate when you turn key to run for about 5 seconds.. if not.. could be a sign of dash tampering.. if gets hot.. then yes.. could be head gasket..
So either get 2 inspection.. 1 for house and 1 for chassis.. or plan on what could be a big repair job.. it's up to you..
Good luck and keep us posted

Do you know if the chassis is a W-22 series or is it a P32 series? If not, do you know the GVWR of the chassis?

My temp gauge reacts as you would expect for a temperature gauge. When started from cold the temperature gauge climbs to above the mid mark. It then falls back to just above the mid mark. When I climb mountains I can see it creep up toward the hot mark on the gauge.

It does not tell me what the temperature IS, but it seems to tell me an actual information relative engine temperature. It for SURE indicates a temperature rise LONG before it is too late.

Can't say for anybody else's.

One idea .. on when line to overflow to radiator pops off.. one cause could be s blown head gasket.. air from gasket could bubble up into over flow and pressure could blow off a line.. negotiate price subject to passing 2 full independent inspection.. you pay to have it inspected .. have a pressure test done on engine..
It's just like buying a house.. unless you just want to throw your money at the wind.. did you check all fluids on a clean white paper towels ? What did they look like..? Did you check under engine oil fill cap? Do you know how much a full replacement engine is?
Good luck and keep us posted
