2005 Workhorse W22 Alternator size

Mobile mechanic needs my alternator amperage to replace serpentine belt.
We're waiting on the side of the highway.

The chassis has air conditioning.

Anybody know?

The build sheet for my 2005 Workhorse W20/22 under "options": Alternator 145Amp. The sales brochure also lists 145Amp.

For part number & cross-reference, search for posts from OEMEY here.

THANK YOU GEORGE! Actually mobile mechanic is on his way with 2 belts. He'll return the one that's wrong. Evidently there are 2 possibilities for the 2005. Just glad a mechanic is coming. The roadside assistance people couldn't find anyone. We had to look around ourselves.

Ron,

I hope you are back on the road by the time you read this. Just wondering, what roadside assistance plan do you have that couldn't locate a mobile mechanic?

Uh, Good Sam & FMCA. But it's a loooong story. Back to the belt itself, the mechanic brought "both" belts that were supposed to be the only possibilities. Neither fit. Poor guy realized this after struggling long and hard to put them on.

NAPA part# 25-061080 is the magical number. It was written on the old belt. After he went back to O'Reilly and got the right one it went on in a jiffy.
