41-101 Iridium plugs

What is the best way to gap the delco 41-101 Iridium plugs?
I understand they come gapped at .060 & now its recommended to gap them at .045 & they are delicate.

thanks
Floyd

This is a Youtube video, it's not great but it explains the correct procedure.

You need 3 items. A wire cap tool, a post bending tool and a small amount of Never Seize.Click image for larger version

I believe they can be ordered with a 45 gap.

I left mine at 60 since that is the Workhorse spec and they run great.

Thanks all. So what is the advantage of setting them at 0.45?

Less chance of miss fire. Remember WH/GM sayva qt oil to tamk of gas is normal. So, a lot of that burnt oil ends up on the plugs.

Pay me now or Pay me later. Here are some .060 gaped Denso 983 plugs with a few miles on them.

Old Platinum and new AC Delco 993. IIRC

We just pulled the original plugs from a coach with 100k Miles and they weren’t pretty. Gap was larger than .090

His complaint was that it had low power and horrible fuel mileage...

I would hope he's calling it an electrode. That is exactly what it is.
