Probably going to jinx us but our 03 is original. Not many miles on it though, I think under 18,000.

I'm at 14 years and 90,000 miles, no problem with the water pump.

2 years ago I traded off my 2003 8.1 with 137,000 miles and had original water pump.

8.1 Water Pump Poll: How Long Did Your Original Water Pump Last?
Original lasted until this August at 71K miles. Replaced with same ACDelco #252-783, which leaked within a few hundred miles. Replaced with same part with fingers crossed as we haven’t traveled with it yet. I bought the first pump from RockAuto who wouldn’t warranty the pump because ACDelco doesn’t list a pump for our application. I bought the second one from Amazon.
I have kept my original pump in case I ever need to rebuild it.
Kevin, hope you aren’t having trouble with your pump again.

There is more than one water pump for the 8100, the Workhorse chassis uses the heavy duty one. ( I think there are at least 3 different pumps with differing duty ratings)

No problems with my pump the reason I asked is that a fellow RV r watched my replacement video and was asking me if he should go a head and replace his original water pump seeing he has 88000 miles on his 2005 Allegro. I wasn't sure on how I should advise him, I will point him to this thread.

i've had problems with the 5 year coolant eating rubber gaskets. So I switched to the green basic stuff. 140k and 20 years on water pump. change it about every 5 years or so.

I hadn’t planned on changing mine this year, but I knew it was coming and was planning on changing prior to our trips out west even if it wasn’t leaking. I will do the same with the harmonic balancer, looks good now but I want to change it before heading west.

.
I can't count the number of these gaskets I have changed.Usually a customer comes in and says so and so found his water pump was leaking. I have only changed the pump on a couple Chevrolet LS type engines because the pump itself was bad.
