I really doubt it is locked up when I had it running less than 2 weeks ago without any problems. Do things lock up that quick???
Thanks

When you check the voltage when cranking , are you checking at the lead battery post or the connector, if you are checking from lead post to lead post ,and have 8 volts, you have a short in the starting circuit .If you're checking from connector to connector, you could have a poor connection.

No I was watching the meter on the dash and guessing. I can try and get a better reading tomorrow on it. Any thoughts of a grounding issue? or the grounding strap?

Oh forgot to mention that I noticed that the brake light lights up now when I am hearing the click, does this mean anything? Possible the ignition switch in the column from some reading? Thoughts?

I'll check my manual when I get home from work . This all started when you replaced the chassis batt ? Can't help but wonder if cables to batt were all installed properly . Either that or something is shorted in the starter circuit .
Break out the multimeter chase the hot leg from the starter back towards ignition switch anything ringing to ground ? Find the starter relay look at that too I'll take a pic of the diagram when I get home

I am not sure that I have a starter relay on a 1994 Bounder P-30. It looks like everything is from the switch from what I have read and seen diagrams of. I found this guys troubleshooting on RV.net. Sounds like my problem.

Tail light or dash light? dash light is normal, it is the self-test for your dash lights when you first turn on a RV/car. Tail lights would be a ground issue.

Hi Everyone, Thank you Thank you Thank you. The problem was the grounding strap from the engine to the frame, It was very dirty greased filled but intact and it ohm’ed out okay but I replaced it anyway and it worked. I guess the starter was trying to engage but not enough power to turn it over.
Thanks Flair for the help and the scans! I appreciate it very much!

Thanks again everyone,

Leon
