A/C unit.
Seems I lost my A/C two days ago. Was working great while driving from Yuma AZ to Ventura CA. Heard something and then cold air went away. Can anyone confirm a dedicated drive belt for the A/C on a ‘08 W22 chassis?

I assume we're talking about the chassis A/C? Our 2007 W22 uses a serpentine belt to power everything - I don't know if they would have switched over to separate belts for the 2008 models...

Sounds like it may be time to dig out the credit card/check book.

On my 2007 voyage W22 35L if you lift doghouse cover the a/c compressor sits on top of engine drivers side. Look for belt on pulley, if there's one on pulley & tight then belt ok. Start engine, should see belt turning pulley. Once engine has warmed up to get temp sensor to open vacuum source. Now cycle a/c off & on. Give system at least a minute to respond to settings. Should see the clutch plate, on the front of the pulley, clamp to spinning pulley to drive a/c pump. If plate not spinning pump not compressing freon for heat exchanger process. Either way will have answer to drive belt & if pump running questions. From here is decision to seek service or dig deeper. Good luck!!

AFAIK, ALL the W-series chassis use a single serpentine belt to power all, including the AC compressor. Suggest you investigate further, because without it, you won't go very far before the engine overheats.

Actually the problem was a damaged vacuum line controlling the air diverter box. Found a new 1/8 vacuum tube kit and removed damaged tubing. Blowing cold now. A great $9.00 fix!

You should play the lottery!
Rarely do I hear a story of a $9 A/C repair!
Glad you found the issue and got it going!
