Have you replaced your air filter and cleaned your MAF?
Have you changed your plug wires?

Why would you chose the 41-983 over the 41-101? Are the 41-983's iridium plugs?
Not trying to start anything, I'm just curious. I thought the 101's were the preferred plug for the 8.1L

The 41-983 is a platinum plug, not an iridium plug. 41-101 is the iridium replacement.

Copper anti-seize on plugs.
Iridium plugs work best on coil over ignition systems.
