Adding suspension air bags to leaf springs
Has anyone added suspension airbags to the leaf springs to improve the rideability of the w22 chasis? I'm talking about converting to the typical diesel pusher system, not spring air bags.

We talked about it several times. What you may want to search for on our forum would be, "Stabile Air" suspension. This is an after market system that has not been tested by a great number of people that participate here however I did see one on a Camping World demo RV. (One of a kind)
The product is an after market unit and is not supported by Workhorse.
The product was made by Detroit Steel Products.
The " Haldex height control system with "kneel" and automatic drain valve" is not available.

i added airex air bag system to my 1989 southwind. they cut off the back half of the rear springs and installed air bags. it was a better ride but not worth the extra cost.
use the money to get an air ride suspension motorhome.

Thanks Driver but try this
Driver, I've come across this web page - http://www.keldermanairride.com/stan...roduct=WORKFRT
which describes adding air bags to the rear of the leaf springs. I've talked to the inventor and installer in Mariposa, CA. He has modified several motorhomes and the customers rave about the difference. It is pricey, hence my call out to the forum. Total for front and rear is about $6k. You might be interested in the sub page which describes the installation. Let me know what you think.

Do yourself a favor, and since the new suspension mod will most likely need these things anyway, try out 4 new Koni FSD Shocks and call me in the morning. These devices may be the only upgrade you need and you can save yourself about 5 grand.

Thanks Driver
Driver, your wisdom is only rivaled by my wifes. She had the same thoughts. I'll try the Konis.

It's tough to run technology by the DW however one thing they will always know is how much does it cost! I'm sure you'll be fine with the Konis.
