Another chassis

Will workhorse chassis ever come back or is there ever going to be another choice for a gas class A chassis besides ford?

Over a year ago there was an announcement from the current owner of the WCC brand about resuming production, however, they have more recently said that announcement was premature.
We have also seen where Ford said they will "defend" their 100% market share by any means necessary, and most people understand that includes cutting their prices, if necessary, to make entry into the market by a competitive chassis even more risky than it already is.
In the RV business I learned to never say never, and I won't in this case, but IMO there is practically NO chance of an alternative branded GAS class A chassis to the F53.

I agree, it would be extremely difficult for Workhorse to re-enter the RV chassis market.

However, Spartan recently revealed a front engine gas chassis prototype and I think it would be a little bit easier for them to start marketing that chassis since they already are making chassis for RV manufacturers and have contracts already in place with those RV manufacturers. As I already said in another post, too bad Spartan didn't show a rear gas engined, air suspension, air brakes, RV chassis. AKA, a UFO on steroids! Now that would be sweeeet!

Are you referring to the "Extol" chassis that Spartan announced a while back? I've not seen anything about it since, but I agree with you that will be "easier" for Spartan to offer a new gasser to the market than for Workhorse Group to spool up all the things necessary for re-entry.

If Spartan were as brave as their name implies, they would make a rear gas chassis to go along with their diesel chassis, certainly would give them a big one-up on Ford.
