Question Anti-Sway bars

I'm considering installing a anti-sway bar. The question now is---Roadmaster or Ultra-Trac? Any opinions/experience on either one?

Finhawk; This is what i did for my W-20: I considered the Ultra Trac for the rear but was told by the shop owner who ultimately did the work to consider a Roadmaster rear anti sway bar instead. He advised that the Roadmaster sway bar would accomplish most of what the Ultra Trac would do plus it would solve porposing (spelling), passing truck pushing and wind influence on my rig as I drive it. He was correct in his assessment. I also had a front trac bar as well as 4 new Koni FSD's installed.

I drove my rig for nearly 7 years with the stock shocks and chassis equipment on it. These new upgrades have made all the difference in the handling and comfort of driving my motor home. In fairness to the manufacturer of Ultra Trac, my shop is a authorized dealer for them and if I wanted, I could have gone with the trac bar rather than the anti sway bar. My next upgrade is a Steer Safe or Safe-t=Plus. Hope this helps.

Bob

Senior Chief, In regard to the Steer Safe, quite honestly it reminds me of a Japanese battle plan. The STP is self contained and all the components are sealed. I have personally seen where SS equipment had to be removed before a drive on lift could raise the vehicle. The gunwales on the ramps were too high.

Looking forward to meeting you at the National Rally.

Second that DriVer. Had to have Steer Save removed to get the front end done one time. Never a problem with the Safe T Plus.

Thanks Mike and Joe. Appreciate the advice.

Right back at ya Mike, really looking forward to the rally and meeting everyone. We're thinking of taking off early and spending about a week touring some Civil War battlefields and cemeteries prior to the event.

I wish that I could be with you - I just absolutely eat all that type of history up. If it's the least that we can do for these brave men is to visit their final resting places then I say we do them honor by doing so.

I am looking forward to going to the Mariner's Museum in Williamsburg on Thursday. Looks like we're going to have a pretty big group of guys. We'll make all those final announcements on Sunday at the welcoming social.

I wish that all the Workhorse members here could find a way to join in the fun at the National Rally. This is going to be an ideal time of the year in which to have a rally in Virginia.

I made a trip from Florida to Massachusetts last fall and came to the conclusion that their was much to be done in relation to handling of the coach. Changed to Bilsteins on all four corners and had Rallys R Us put sway and track bars front and rear. We have just completed a trip from Florida to Oregon, down to California and back to Florida. The difference between the two trips was like night and day. The last trip was enjoyable and extremely less stressful than the trip to Mass.
