Axle movement?

Good morning all. I purchased Sumo Springs for the front of my 2003 W22 to replace the disintegrating originals and while replacing them I found the old ones didn't line up with the plates under them. It's more obvious with the new Sumo's installed. The Sumo's will actually hit, not directly, the rear u-bolts by 1/2 inch. I can't see where the axles have shifted. I measured both sides from axle to frame and they're equal so I'm left to believe that it was this way from the factory unless something else is going on. Any ideas?

Here's some pics including the original one. It seemed worse when I was under the coach doing the install but now, they still look off but not by as much.Click image for larger version

Have to say, the originals are not Sumo Springs but standard GM bump stops.

As to the centering, it looks pretty good. I'd say roll with it.
