Blue digital instrument background color

Don't know if anyone shares my dislike of the blue color selected for the background color of the digital display on the Actia instrument cluster of their workhorse chassis.

I don't care for the color in the daytime but I really don't like it when it is paired with the red color of the rest of the instruments at night. I like the red.

See the picture. Sorry my color rendition isn't really good but you get the idea.

I suspect that we are pretty much stuck with this but I thought I would vent!

The warning indicators are because the ignition is on but the engine isn't running.

That is a replacement screen. The original was the red or orange to match the rest of the cluster, but they tend to have a high failure rate. Just be glad it works. I don't think I've heard of any other options out there.

That color probably means that your cluster was repaired after the Actia LED display failed! I believe all the repair facilities are using the blue screen...

Thanks for the responses. I think it answers my questions and to a certain degree I think I did it to myself.

When I bought the MH 2 years ago the display was unreadable so I sent it off to be rebuilt. I don't recall the color before the rebuild but it is definitely blue now.

Mine originally was blue in 2004. Replaced in 2005 with an orange. replaced again in 2005 with another orange.

Actia is junk.
