There is a letter in the TechSavvy-Hot Line section of the March 2009 issue titled ‘Caliper Conundrum’. It’s a shame that the letter writer didn’t include more specific information, like the model year and chassis manufacturer, but it sounds pretty familiar to me… the letter is primarily about getting an extended warranty to pay a claim, but what’s interesting to me is what happened in the first place.

This isn’t meant to be the start of another brake thread, simply a means to information in an RV magazine that some might find interesting.

I REPEAT: NOT A BRAKE THREAD; COMMENTS SHOULD ONLY BE RELATED TO THE EXTENDED WARRANTY.

I saw it in the print version of Motorhome Magazine, the March 2009 issue, the TechSavvy / Hotline column, on page 54. I subscribe, so I'm not sure if the magazine is in the 'rack' yet.

Why has the brake thread been closed??? An issue this important, i.e. PUBLIC SAFETY, needs to stay open and active until we get the answers we deserve!

Bump means to post anything to a thread (discussion) that you want to move back up to the top of the board index. Sometimes the word "bump" is posted just to do that very thing.

Haven't received any response from MH Magazine to my letter but I did get a magazine renewal form. Looks like I'll have to extend my subscription to see if they respond in print!

It's a good RV magazine and I like the Tech section, and I hope most here subscribe, so I'll extend...
