I used it a number of years ago, but never in the coach. Prefer either Mobil-1 or Penzoil synthetics.

thanks for your reply. I have use conventional Castrol GTX since the 70s. happened across the Magnatec on Amazon for a good price and wondered why it is cheaper the GTX.

I actually just bought Penzoil Ultra Platinum off of Amazon for less money than I can find Platinum locally at Walmart. I only bought one 5 quart bottle because I didn’t think it was the real thing.

do you interchange the Mobil 1 and Pennzoil or stay with just 1 brand as we did in the olden days?

thanks for the opinions, just bought the coach (8/1) with a fresh oil change. I worked on Honda MCs back in the early 70s and Castrol was the Honda required oil back then and I have stayed with Castrol ever sense. this coach is my 2ond non ford non MC that I have owned and I thought it may be time for oil brand change too. somehow I missed when conventional oil became more expensive than synthetic.

Oil blends today are not remotely close to what they were back in the 70's. Back then straight grade blends were the rave and Castrol was much better.

A great oil that's tested better than many synthetics is Valvoline VR-1 Racing (conventional brand). It's offered in synthetic but the conventional blend beat it out in wear performance.
