Check Engine Code P2135

Received this code this morning about 3 miles into my trip. Loss power and engine shut down as a I stopped. After setting a few minutes it cranked and I drove home; about 25 miles. After doing a search I have learned this is a Throttle Pedal Sensor (TPS) related issue.

As I left the campground I had to go over a high 10-12 inch ridge which acts as a flood berm for the camp site and it took me about 4 tried to get over it. Was wondering if this irregular back and forth throttle activity to get over this berm may have lead to the P2135?
Would appreciate hearing anyones experience with this code.

It could be caused by a bad connection between the accelerator and the ECU, but more usually it's a worn section in one of the two potentiometers in the mechanism. The P2135 code is sent when the two potentiometers don't agree on their readings.

Because you loose power and the engine shuts off, I would at least checkout the throttle position sensor electrical connector. Take it off and clean it, checkout the wiring and pins. Look at the wring carefully.

If you need to replace the TPS you have drill out the rivets. This one should fit yours.

or just replace your entire throttle body. Get a new gasket too.
