Cruise control

My 06 w22 Winnebago has an of problem. The cruise works fine as long as the lights are not turned on. If I turn my lights on the cruise quits working. This is the case with both headlights and parking lights. I checked the tail/brake lights and they are ok (no back feed)

More info on this, the cruise control turns off if in or will not turn on when the lights are on. The light showing the cruise is on does not light up.

Try readjusting brake pedal brake light switch. It has two sets of connection that are acted on when pedal is depressed. The switch is held in place by a friction gadget on the threads of the switch. It may need only to move a single thread pitch toward the brake pedal arm to get it working again.

You might check ground connections under dash. Try adding a ground between metal and ground connection on cruise control and see if it still goes off with lights turned on.

If you have 50k or better on the clock, might be ignition switch going bad.

EngineerMike has a good suggestion. Try to pull the green connector from the ignition switch apart and look for burnt or melted contacts. Seems that with all the items switched by the ignition folks have found melted connections from ignition.

Symptoms described in above posts suggests there IS back feed to the brake light switch. Possibly ungrounded light socket in tail lights. Remove stop lights in tail lights to test.
