dash instruments resets

I have a W22 Workhorse W 8.1 engine. Dash readout came on and said to change engine oil. I just completed oil change and full service before leaving on this trip. How can I reset the computer to remove the notice until next oil change is due. Tried to figure it out using the "mode" , "trip" buttons, to no avail. Please help. Thanks in advance.

1. Turn ignition on but do not start
2. Fully press gas pedal (3) times within 5 seconds
3. Turn ignition off for at least 10 seconds if you intend to start vehicle
4. This should reset the counter until next oil change reminder

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunatly, I didn't get a Workhorse manual from the prior owner. Other reply helps. I will try the suggestion. Thanks everyone again.

What a shame. All to often I learn about someone who has bought a used motorhome and the previous owner has not passed on the manuals that came with the MH. Why would he want to keep them? My rig has a six inch tall stack of manuals. They would mean nothing to me after the rig is gone, but they are worth their weight in gold to a new owner.

You might contact the previous owner, he or she may have the manuals in a drawer somewhere else.

Bob, I wonder the same all the time when I hear a new owner of a previously owned rig say they have No documentation. If I bought direct from the owner I would want to know where their manuals are. If I think their hiding something then I would be alerted by, "no history."
Maybe, dealers feel safer, less liability, by not providing ANY past manuals or owner records? Why is this info. thrown away????
I think my maint. records and mfgr. documentation is close to par on what's on record for a military aircraft. Anew owner deserves this info.

The manuals are valuable and I always appreciate getting them when I buy some thing used. However, if you trade a MH , boat , car etc, the saleman does'nt ask for them and acts like they really don't care. Maybe he knows that it will just get lost anyway.

For what people pay for some used rv's, they should get the manuals. I walked away from a deal once when no manuals were available and the salesman said they weren't important anyway.

JC2, You did the right thing especially with that follow on comment. If I were the salesman I would have suggested that if you need a manual that I might be able to help you get it if you need it.

On my Winnebago all the manuals are in a nylon satchel. Why the satchel ever has to leave the motorhome is beyond me. On my rig, Winnebago Adventurer 38G, I have a hidden compartment and if I put the manuals in there it might take a while before anyone found them. It could make for an interesting reality story called; "The Lost Manuals"
