DIY P32 wide track retrofit?

Has anyone adapted the wide track front beam on to a narrow track P32 chassis? I'm not talking about a kit but getting a wide beam from a salvage yard and adapting it to the narrow beam chassis.

I considered the same thing when we had our old 1994 Airstream.

Then I came to my senses and just bought a newer rig!

I'm not sure you could do the swap without beefing up the frame, changing out the steering box and PS pump, and possibly relocating the steering column where it goes through the floor.

It could be done, but not easily.
