Drive shaft question

Should the drive shaft look like this? Brought it home from the shop Wednesday and was underneath for the first time since then. The repair was carried bearings. Should there be boot?

Kinda helps if you mention the year, brand, model, and chassis of your RV. Along with the engine. Maybe put that info in your signature.

I don't think it's suppose to look like that.

No boot, the collar is threaded with a splined seal in it.

Thanks for the replies. Forgot to include signature.

Seemed odd the splines were exposed to water, dirt and such.

Not to me, I have changed many driveshaft support bearings and there are many like that.

The seal in the end cap wipes the derbris off the splines.

That is correct. Just be sure and hit the Z fittings with a grease gun roughly ~9,000 or so. Each U-joint will have on (look carefully on each joint groove).
