Flasher inoperative. Push down, flashed once than quit. Switch or flasher. Thanks.

Third possibility , fuse , the 4 way flasher has it's own fuse.
So find and check the fuse , then you should be able to swap the turn signal flasher and the emergency flasher to test the operation.

Sort of how the switch fails. It becomes a momentary switch. When I noticed everyone replacing theirs repeatedly, I changed all my rear and side signal bulbs, including those in the towing lights for LED's and added a forth screw to the faulty flasher switch where the spring tension was dividing the two halves. Worked for me! Good luck with yours!!
