Fuel Injectors

I have a 2002 Newmar. With a workhorse chassis and 8.1 liter motor. Can anyone tell me the correct fuel injectors number and how many lbs of pressure should be on the fuel injectors ? I know the fuel rail is about 60 and I would like to know how many lbs press on each injectors.

If the fuel rail is 60 PSI then the rail side of the injector will be 60 PSI as well. The 8.1L Chevy uses a vacuum modulated pressure regulator. It adjusts fuel pressure based on intake manifold vacuum.

Locate the pressure regulator. Attach your pressure gauge to the fuel rail. Note the pressure. At idle it should be ≈58 PSI. Remove the vacuum line from the regulator and the pressure should jump to ≈68 PSI.

I read this on an other site. I've not verified it myself!

Nothing in the fuel rail to boost fuel pressure , so each injector is supplied 60 psi.

The gasoline multipoint injectors fire into intake runners that are under a vacuum condition so extreme injection pressure is not required as in diesel direct injection where cylinder combustion chamber pressure has to be overcome to deliver fuel.
