Fuel pump

I have acquired a 95 winnebago vectra p3 with the 454 tbi. It has I believe a bad fuel pump. Does anyone know what pump/hangar assembly It takes or what the in tank fuel pump pressure should be so I can get one. Thanks. This is my first motorhome. It only has 16000 miles on it but sat for 10 yrs with no gas in it

You should have a 30 psi fuel pump . To be sure look for two paint dabs on the center post of the injectors. Red/blue or black/blue are 13 psi injectors used up to 93.
Purple/Pink is the 30 psi 94-95 injectors.
If you haven't replaced the filter, that may be a place to start.

94-95 year 454 TBIs were 26-32 psi

As for a pump replacement go with a Vortec EP381

It looks like the vortec ep381 puts out 108psi. Is that too high for the fuel regulator to handle? The fuel has to travel aprox. 25ft

No, the additional pressure will route the fuel back to the tank.

As for the replacement pump. There is a small section of rubber hose that comes with the replacement pump you can either use it or an upgraded section of FI rated hose from Gates (Barricade brand). Just be sure it's FI rated.

Will do thank you. Can anyone give me a pic of the fuse panel cover so I know where the fuel pump fuse is? I would feel pretty dumb if I didn't check that first. The motorhome is 300 miles away or I would find it myself. My manual doesn't give me a picture. Thanks again. It's a 95 winnebago vectra 31rq p3 (chevy chassis) w/454 gas tbi

Hi all, can someone tell me the proper psi an in-tank fuel pump needs to put out on my 95 winnebago vectra p3 (454 tbi)31rq?
One post says 9 psi and others say 30. I keep finding pumps that put out 43psi....how much is too much for the fuel pressure regulator at the tbi to send back thru the return line

The 1994-1995 year TBI 454 engines were spec 26-32 psi. All previous year TBIs were 9-13. The Vortec pump mentioned will work just fine. The TBI regulator will divert any extra fuel back to the tank. It's purpose is to keep the pressure between 26-32psi.

Fuel pump fuse should be in the fuse panel under the dash (near legs).

Thanks for the info. The last issue I'm having is the fuel pump hangar assembly. I have an 80 gal tank and info is next to impossible to find. Most of them are for a 40 gal tank. Does anyone have a part # for the correct one? The length needs to be I believe 16". Thanks all.

You have a pic of it?

You should be able to install the new pump on the existing assembly. And install a new sock.

No pic. It is 300 mi. From me at my parents' house. Last time I was there I didn't have time to drop the tank. I'm hoping it's a fuse instead of the pump. The fuel guage pegged on full all of a sudden for no reason. the tank was drained and new gas put in( about a 1/4 tank). It would only start after squirting gas into the tbi directly. After a few tries, I unscrewed the line at the filter on the frame rail to find fresh gas at that point. I'm guessing that's when something stopped working. I will check the fuse if there is one, the oil sending switch and the relay wherever that is

The relay will be on the opposite side of the doghouse wall close to accelerator pedal. Use a flashlight.

Here is a pic of the relay...what you see on the left is the AC compressor (front facing side0.

The fuel filter is tucked in the frame rail on passenger side roughly mid way between front and rear wheels. Does the TBI spray fuel when cranking?
