Your model will have a pivot shaft in the brake linkage. On a 2000 model this should have a grease fiting in it. If it doesn't it should have one instaled. This pivot shaft is in some cases hard to find and in many cases overlooked when lubricating the chassis as a result it gets hard to turn causing the pedal not to return all the way( BRAKE LIGHTS STAY ON) and in some cases (BRAKES DRAG ) and over heat. This would be a good place to start be cause it can be a free fix but the damage it can cause can be expensive.
