Send a message via AIM to Oemtech
If could answer that I probably could tell Workhorse and the Feds how to fix it.

I just thought maybe someone might have some insight if Workhorse changed brake components on the '05's and up.

My 2006 Coachman on a 2005 W22 chassis has had serious brake issues. 3 rotors and calipers replaced early on. One overheated brake since then.

The W-20 had the same problem. WCC changed brake MFG's. Not sure what year.

I reported the problems at the time to NHTSA. At that time they hadn't decided on chassis years for their investigation.

I think Workhorse changed brake components in early 2005. I am wanting confirmation of this.

George Z is the only one that I remember on this forum that had brake issues with a 2005 W-22 chassis.

The Bosch Pin Slide Calipers that Workhorse uses are in wide use among other manufacturers and they are not unique to the W-Series.

Although I have read most of the threads on the brake problems, I don't remember any discussion of geography or variation in humidity. There have been several like myself that have never heard of changing brake fluid and several if not all of those live in the dry Rocky Mountains/South West. As I learn more about "my" rig, I discover that some things that are true for yours are not true for mine. Is there someone listening that might develop a poll consisting of problem/no problem, mileage, general location, chassis, year of chassis. Like many others, I worry about the "surprise" some of you have had, and am not sure if anyone driving a 2005 W20 living in Colorado has had a problem. I do appreciate all of the comments and that we have a forum to discuss these issues.

Was there a change in the ABS system? Also, question whether the same ABS system is used on other vehicles and if so what if any problems those vehicles have experienced?
