Re-visit from ealier this year. As some may recall I had fried my back 4 plug wires on my MH. They were replaced - with a promise from the regional manager from Workhose that if it happens again they would replace the plugs and install the vent kit.

Sure enough this past weekend the sputtering and misfiring started once again. True to his word - the Workhorse rep gave me the go ahead to call the local dealer and get the parts on order.

It's great when peopple honor their promises.

I wonder if they would that for an '05. I only had one burn while under warranty, but 2 more after the warranty expired.

If not, or either way, I would like to see a picture of what they do and maybe I could get an idea from it or copy it.

Anyone have a pic of their vent kit?

Max, The vent kit is adaptable to any year W or P series chassis.

I'm sure that some of our members have the VK installed. I've seen a number of them. The working end of the pipe is supported by a bracket that dumps an open end pipe as close to the middle of the 6&8 and the 5&7 cylinders as possible.

The inlet is attached to the grill and originates from a plastic scoop which funnels the air up the pipe.

Good installers will route the plumbing without making sharp bends.

I expect that someone here will have pictures Max. Did you try Oemy's site?

I'm surprised I didn'y see it on OEMeys site. Maybe it's in there some where. I did see the CAI and a roof vent. I'll search it again tonight.

How about one of our good photographers doing already installed photos. I bought the unit and gave up on installing it as it was not obvious how it mounted. WH garage was no help at all.

The Service Center should know exactly how this device is installed.

The duct intakes are mounted at times below the front fascia. It is not recommended that you mount them inside the front grill opening because this will reduce your intake opening by "X" amount of square inches. The spec on your individual rig my be critical.

The hoses are tie wrapped and directed toward the center of the 5&7 and the 6&8 cylinders. There is a metal bracket that is attached to the engine I believe and this holds up the discharge end of the hose. The discharge end of the hose needs to favor the front cylinder a bit more since the discharge air will eventually spill out onto the rear most cylinder. The discharge end of the hose needs to be close to the block (about 3 inches or so) as possible, (& perpendicular to the block) and to the extent possible pointing directly at the plug wire boots.

Run the hose as straight as you can from the intakes to the discharge location through and around the engine compartment with as few bends as possible.

Remember this system is a passive device and it does not provide any air at idle or when the vehicle is not moving. Its function is to provide cooler air when under a load while moving forward.

I regret that I do not have any pictures for you but I have seen some excellent installations while others - no so much.
